Recently, McGinnis Lochridge’s Partner Lloyd Lochridge was honored by the Austin Bar Foundation at the “Lawyers for Lloyd” event to celebrate Mr. Lochridge’s outstanding career and raise funds for the Free Legal Advice for Veterans Clinic and Self-Represented Litigant Projects. Judge Eric Montgomery Shepperd presented Mr. Lochridge with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his years of service to the public and the Bar, including service as President of the Austin Bar Association in 1970-1971 and President of the State Bar in 1974-75. Other key speakers included Judge Elisabeth Ashlea Earle and Dirk Jordan, Board Member of the American Inn of Court.
The Austin Bar Association is made up of more than 4,300 attorneys within the Austin-area and is committed to provide attorneys continuing legal education, networking and social opportunities, along with service to the community.
After serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, Lloyd Lochridge began his law practice in Mission, Texas. In September of 1959, he became a partner in McGinnis Lochridge’s predecessor firm and has been with the firm ever since.
